Dear Dr. Lillian,
Rejoicetina
Michael I am Rejoicetina Michael. I am most appreciative of your generosity for me regarding the scholarship you offered to build my capacity through tertiary education in the University of Upper Nile in the critical areas of knowledge, skills and professionalism in nursing.
My heart felt gratitude goes to your philanthropic organization including all staff members, which has changed my life as an individual, and has empowered me to contribute effectivley to the welfare of the sick in the most neglected part of the Sudan. I always think of your organization whenever I am treating or caring for patients in one of the most remote areas of the country, which is Western Equatoria State.
I started education at Maridi in Western Equatoria where I attended first year primary school, but was interrupted by civil war and my guardians became IDPs in Northern Sudan. Then, I attended grade 2 and 3 at Ibn Elaather in Gezira and transferred to Khartoum town to live with my aunt where I completed basic education at Dar Elsalam Haj Yousif in 1998; Hamid Alkhawad School in Haj Yousif during the period 1999 – 2002 and university studies during the period 2002 – 2006.
After my graduation from the University of Uper Nile in 2006, I pursued practical training at different hospitals in Khartoum and at Juba Teaching Hospital. When I completed the necessary pracitcal training at hospital, the Ministry of Heath in Southern Sudan posted me to Yambio Hospital where there was no single professional nurse. I am proud to assist my own people under difficult working conditions.
Therefore, I would like to take this opprtunity to urge you to continue with your philanthropic assistance to female students from the hardship regions of the Sudan. This will help them to render critical services to people who are in dire need in remote areas of the country.
