Thanks from our University Scholars - Young Ladies Who Want to Say Thank

The Together for Sudan University Scholarship Project a cornerstone of our work and the charity’s flagship project amongst
all eight educational projects. University Scholarships for Women, will by 2010 have almost 200 graduates.

Below are messages of thanks from some of our university scholars that have been funded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

Angelina Shoti, TfS scholar

I am Angelina Shoti. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Extension Education and Development in second year. I really can’t thank Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim enough for his kindness and generosity in funding my university education. I am the first girl in my poor family to get access to university. My father died and if I didn’t get Mohammed Ibrahim, I couldn’t have been able to study at a university. I admire Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim because, it is very rare now days to find some one like him who cares and dedicates his funds to provide such support to disadvantaged people.
My ambition after graduation is to return to the country side in order to contribute to the socio economic and political development of the rural areas as well as advocating democracy, human rights and gender equity.

 

Maria Elario Madut TfS scholar

I am Maria Elario Madut. I study at Ahfad University School of Management in third year. I thank Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim for his support. I am the first girl to join a university and my family is not able to pay for my fees. I say to Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim; I will never forget your help.
My ambition after graduation is to work for unity and democracy in my country, particularly in the conflicted areas so as to get rid of illiteracy, poverty, and ignorance.

Poni Lako Jada TfS scholar

I am Poni Lako Jada. I study at Ahfad University School of Management in third year. I have two sisters and they have not joined university due to financial difficulties. I am lucky than my older sisters, because I am being sponsored in the university by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim.
My ambitions after graduation are to look for a job to assist my mother and sisters, get back to my mother land (South Sudan) so as to contribute in the rural development and if God gives me Children, I will look after them and wish them to be successful like Dr. Mohammed in helping humanity.

Jacqueline Aowl Kodi TfS scholar

I am Jacqueline Aowl Kodi. I study at Ahfad University School of Management in third year. My family is very happy as the first girl to get access to university education. I say to Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim if you stop sponsoring my education, I will not continue at university. I appreciate Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim for his support to needy people and I ask God to bless you. My aspiration after graduation is to work for democracy, development, rehabilitation and education particularly in the Nuba Mountains.

Omnia Hamid TfS scholar

I am Omnia Hamid. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Extension Education and Development in second year. I thank Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim for the university scholarship which offers assistance to students from poor families. I wish it would continue till I complete my education so that I become beneficial to my country. I ask God to bless Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim with good health and long life so as to support the coming generations.

Kauthar Abdallah Aldou

I am Kauthar Abdallah Aldou. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Development. I thank Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim who is sponsoring my university education through Together for Sudan. I was very needy for this opportunity. My ambition after graduation is to help poor people and to return my mother land so as to contribute in its development and rehabilitation. Also I dream to establish organization like Together for Sudan and I convey its objectives to the all parts of Sudan. I thank once again Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim.

Hawa Mohammed Farahna TfS scholar

I am Hawa Mohammed Farahna. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Extension Education and Development. I thank Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim who is offering me scholarship through Together for Sudan. I am the first girl in my family to enroll in a university. My ambition after graduation is to contribute in the community awareness, voluntary work and to help needy people. Again I thank Together for Sudan and Mohamed Ibrahim Foundation administrations for their helpful project.

Kauthar Khalil Suleiman

I am Kauthar Khalil Suleiman. I study at Ahafd University School of Rural Extension Education and Development in the second year. I came from Nuba Mountains where life is hard. I am the first girl in my family to study in a university. I would like to pass my gratitude and respect to Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim for his donation towards humanitarian work. My ambition after graduation is to contribute in development and to help disadvantages people.

Alghaiya Mohammed Salim TfS scholar

I am Alghaiya Mohammed Salim. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Extension Education and Development in second year. I pass my thanks to Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim who offers me a scholarship to continue my education. The donation from Dr. Mohammed makes my family feel very pleased, because I am the first girl to go into university. I ask God to bless Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim for his good deeds. My ambition after graduation is to work in humanitarian organizations so as to help needy people and to develop my country.

Salwa Ramadan Hassen TfS scholar

I am Salwa Ramadan Hassen. I study at Ahfad University School of management in second year. I would like to thank Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim for his generous support to educate destitute young women. I am the first girl in my family to get access to university education. My ambition after graduation is to look for a job in order to help my family and to contribute in development particularly in rural areas.

Sarah Charles Sokiri TfS scholar

I am Sarah Charles Sokiri. I study at Ahfad University School of Health Science in third year. First of all I would like to thank Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim for his kind donation which can not be expressed with words of appreciation. I am the first girl in my family to join university. I promise Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim that I am focusing and will continue to do so in my studies to obtain a very good certificate to get a good job in order to assist my family and participate actively in the development of my community. I will also dedicate myself to spread health awareness and democracy in this beloved country.

Sawsan Hussein Masha TfS scholar

I am Sawsan Hussein Masha. I study at Ahfad University School of Rural Extension Education and Development in second year. I pass my gratitude to Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim for his generous donation. My family is very poor and if I hadn’t got this scholarship, I couldn’t have been able to continue my education. My ambition after graduation is to return to the Nuba Mountains to participate in development.
