I first visited Sudan in 1968 after serving as a VSO volunteer in East Africa. Ten years later I wrote a dissertation on education in southern Sudan whilst studying at the University of London Institute of Education.
In 1991 I went to Khartoum as Director of the British Council, and stayed for four years. The work was challenging and conditions were not always easy but the Sudanese people were invariably gracious and welcoming.
Since coming back to Britain I have been keen to maintain contacts and
try to improve conditions in Sudan, and I believe that involvement with
Together for Sudan is one of the best ways
I can contribute.
Adrian is a long standing and hard working trustee
who volunteers all his effort and time for free. Together for Sudan has
no paid staff outside of Sudan.
With your help Together for Sudan can do much more good work.
What you can do: Donations in any amount are much appreciated. But please consider whether you are able to support work such as this – and contribute to maintaining peace in Sudan – by providing regular donations. Regular donations allow us to plan ahead and work more effectively.
